Roberto de la Cruz Martínez, CEO of RiskMS and spokesman for the RegTech vertical of the Spanish Association of Fintech and Insurtech (AEFI), has signed a platform on the de-risking phenomenon published in Funds Society.

In the forum, the practice of de-risking is discussed, which consists of avoiding establishing commercial agreements due to the risk they could entail in terms of money laundering and financing of terrorism. This discriminatory practice is of concern to the European Banking Authority (EBA) because the non-assumption of risk itself implies a questionable risk management policy on the part of financial institutions and a veto on the inclusion of customers.
